Crystal Apple Award goes to Shellie Graves

Shellie Graves, fourth grade teacher at Sage Creek Elementary, was awarded the coveted Crystal Apple Award by her peers for outstanding leadership in education.  Shellie is the mother of five and the grandmother of fifteen  Shellie has taught at Sage Creek for 21 years and has touched the lives of hundreds if not thousands of children.  She is an amazing educator who plans her lessons meticulously.  Shellie also goes the extra mile to plan  activities such as making ice cream, decorating haunted houses, digging for fossils in cookies and and making fossils. She is ultra organized, and is  the scheduling queen at Sage Creek. She schedules not only the 4th grade but the entire schools’ lunch, prep, duty,  and computer time. Shellie loves teaching and puts on amazing plays with her students. She also leads the 4th grade program, always making it memorable to students and parents.  Shellie also knows everyone in the Springville and several generations back in their families. Shellie is a proud Springville High Alum and has buckets full of BYU pride. As a faculty we so proud and happy to award Shellie the Crystal Apple Award for all of her hard work and dedication to children. Shellie we thank you and love you.
