Red Ribbon Week at Sage Creek

“Be a Sport! Play Hard and Live Clean” was the motto of Sage Creek Elementary School’s Red Ribbon Week.  In an opening assembly exceptional students from Springville High School talked to the students about how important staying drug free is to be able to do the things they love in life.  During the week the students made up jump-rope rhymes about staying clean and being healthy and shared these with other classes at recess. On Friday all seven hundred seventy four students wrote a pledge about what they were going to do to stay away from drugs and/or be more active.  The pledges were attached to glistening balloons and were released into the bright blue autumn sky in the hopes that some other child will find it, read the pledge they have written and be motivated to do the same.  Sage Creek Dragons promise to help each other to play hard and live clean always.
