Barbara McBride-Smith spent the day at Sage Creek sharing stories in two assemblies and visited a few classes. Students loved the stories told and had a great time.

Ms. Scott at Sage Creek Elementary wrote a grant and recieved Bouncy Bands for her class. Bouncy Bands are bands that attach to the desk and allow students to fidget with there feet. The students think that they are really great.
Please keep sending in your box tops - every one counts and they really add up! This summer, we were able to fund a portion of the kindergarten playground with box tops. You can always cut them off items you purchase and send them into class - our PTA hosts fun classroom competitions. Also, there is an app where you scan in your box top - then you can send them in and count them double! Click the attached flyer for adding the app to your smartphone.
Students in Mrs. Greenburg's 3rd gr class spent time on Sept 19 discussing America and the freedoms it provides. Sept 17 is Constitution Day were students throughout the state discuss the importance of our country's Constitution. Mrs. Greenburg led the students in a discussion of what living in America means to them. "It was a powerful conversation for me and the students," says Mrs. Greenburg. "I couldn't be more proud of the students' maturity and understanding of what it means to be an American." Way to go third graders!
Fourth grade students from Ms. Sheila Robbins' class plant herbs and veggies in our school's front garden. The entire front garden at our school is dedicated to plants that grow in Utah. Fourth grade spends a lot of time focusing on our Utah heritage - what a fun way to learn what grows in Utah! Pictured here are students from Ms. Robbins class working in the garden.

Early Morning Chime Choir - meets each Tues (beginning) or Thurs (advanced) mornings
Sixth graders designed and lauched rockets with a goal to launch a rocket farther Mr. Bowden and Ms. Scott. They discovered there is more to building rockets than they think. Time will tell if math and science skills will translate to their rocket engineering skills.
