From planting and grinding corn to making butter, sewing on buttons and washing clothes on a scrub board, children learned that being a Pilgrim can be hard work! On the other hand, they discovered that simple fun can be found in making Indian bracelets, rattles and pots, and in playing Pilgrim games and popping corn.

There were witches in the house...or at least the cafeteria...at Sage Creek Elementary this week. Lunch supervisors, Angie Lewis and Kerry Bradshaw transformed themselves into cackling witches, preparing and serving witche's brew and mummy dust to all of the students as they finished lunch. This well planned and fun activity helped to enhance the Halloween "spirit" at the school in preparation for the costume parade that was soon to follow. Thanks to our boo-tiful witches who made this experience happen!
