Kind Kids of the Quarter

Submitted by shavon.mousser on

As Term 1 came to an end, our teachers selected one student from each class to be our Kind Kid of the Quarter. Kindness has been our focus during Term 1.  Each term, Principal Youd introduces the attribute for the quarter during the "Principal’s Read Aloud" and then students spend the entire term strengthening that attribute. Students nominated for the quarterly award receive a certificate, a swag bag with Sage Creek items, and a surprise yard sign at their house! New Kind Kids of the Quarter will be selected each term.

Mental Health Screener Night

Submitted by shavon.mousser on

Nebo District is offering a mental health screener for students from 4 pm to 8 pm Monday, October 7, 2024, at Diamond Fork Middle School. We will be using Terrace Metrics software to measure mental and emotional strengths, as well as screen for anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation of students in grades 6-12. Students in grades 3-5 may participate as well, and that screener will measure mental and emotional strengths, as well as screen for anxiety and depression.

If you would like to participate, please sign up here for an appointment. The assessment tool takes an average of 15 minutes to complete. Afterward, you and your student will meet with a school counselor or social worker to discuss the results of the assessment and receive resources as needed.

Link to Parent Information Video (2.5 minutes)

Prior to taking the mental health screener, a consent form needs to be completed by the parent/guardian. The consent form will be available upon arrival.

If you have any questions, please contact your school counselor.

Second grade students have been learning about Ancient Asian Civilizations in CKLA (Literacy).  Ms. Ren is from Shaanxi Province, home of the famous Terra-Cotta Warriors and shared her abundant knowledge of this beautiful area.  We are so grateful for our amazing DLI teachers!
