Sage Creek 6th Grade spent math playing with Hot Wheels track sets looking to measure the lowest hieght and least amount of track to complete a loop. Many variables were found from car being used to how stable the track was. Students leaned and practiced measuring in centimeters, measuring weights of cars, noticing increase or decrease of speed pending how steep the angle of decent was. Lots of math was practiced and fun was had by all.

Sage Creek Elementary kicked of the year with the theme "Big" meaning something good is happening. The open assembly was awesome with a visit from Clifford the Big Red dog and of course the faculty danced to the song "Something Big". It is going to be a "Big" year at Sage Creek.

Wow! what a tremendous group of kids being Sage Creeks Happy Dragons of the week!

Fifth and Sixth grades attended an assembly put on by Brad and Dana Moss of Seating Innovations to recognize teacher, inventor Carling Dorr Allen celerating his life and contributions. Seating Innovations donated two hundred dollars to the Sage Creek Library and have donated suspended seating tables in the past.

Sage Creek welcomes Alice Gartell, the President of Books for a Better World! Flying in from Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Gartell made a special visit to Sage Creek Dragons at our assembly to thank the students, faculty, and families -and Wal-Mart for making the largest single donation from a school ever to Books for Better World! Our own Mrs. Shruing will be delivering books for school libraries in behalf of our students in remote villages in several South American countries this summer.

Congratulations to the "Happy" Dragons of the week! Happy Dragons are those students who are going the extra mile each and everyday. 

Sage Creeks orchestra and chime choir held their spring concert for the students and parents. The concert was fantastic playing songs from Pirates of the Caribiean and the song named The Elephant. The Orchestra is directed by Russell Hansen and the chime choir is directed by Janeen Scott.

Sage Creek fourth grade had the opportunity to go to the Great Salt Lake and learn about the Great Salt Lakes ecosystem. Students enjoyed wading in the water and looing at the many species of birds.
