Sage Creek welcomes Alice Gartell, the President of Books for a Better World! Flying in from Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Gartell made a special visit to Sage Creek Dragons at our assembly to thank the students, faculty, and families -and Wal-Mart for making the largest single donation from a school ever to Books for Better World! Our own Mrs. Shruing will be delivering books for school libraries in behalf of our students in remote villages in several South American countries this summer.

Congratulations to the "Happy" Dragons of the week! Happy Dragons are those students who are going the extra mile each and everyday. 

Sage Creeks orchestra and chime choir held their spring concert for the students and parents. The concert was fantastic playing songs from Pirates of the Caribiean and the song named The Elephant. The Orchestra is directed by Russell Hansen and the chime choir is directed by Janeen Scott.

Sage Creek fourth grade had the opportunity to go to the Great Salt Lake and learn about the Great Salt Lakes ecosystem. Students enjoyed wading in the water and looing at the many species of birds.

Brayden DeMarco recieved first place honors a in computer and engineering science at CUSEF science fair at BYU. He was also nominated for Broadcom Masters. Chelby Carter recieved third plade honors in Physical Science and Chemistry. Congratulations to both of these awesome Dragons!

Dragon March Madness a 3 on 3 basketball tournament wrapped up at Sage Creek Elementary crowning four teams as champions of their division. The tournament took place during lunch time allowing thirty five teams to participate in at least three games over the past month. Congratulations to the winning teams! Student's in the fifth grade at Sage Creek Elementary had the opportunity to show their parents just how smart they are. For SEP confernces the student's and parents went to the computer lab where the students performed a variety of tasks as their parent observed. The tasks covered math, language arts, and science that had been taught throughout the year.
