Ballet West performed at Sage Creek on Friday February 28. The dancers put on a great performance of the Nut Cracker as well as taught students dance moves and taught the student body about ballet. See more pictures on our Facebook page.

All classes from Sage Creek have been battling to see which class could bring in the most Box Tops.  Ms. Chen's class brought in the most with 1,104 Box Tops. Mrs. Shaffers class came in second with 960 Box Tops. and Mrs. Porters AM class ended up in third with 794 Box Tops. Thanks to all those who brought Box Tops and turned them in. Sage Creek will make just over $1200 dollars.

Mrs. Richards 6th grade social studies students fought fearlessly and courageously on the field of battle, as they re-enacted "The Battle of Hastings" last Friday, Feb. 7.  No soldier was hurt, maimed, or killed during this mock battle. (See more pictures on our facebook page.)

Sage Creek welcomed 63 students from Fengtai Elementary in Beijing, China. Families of Sage Creek students hosted the children in their homes for three days. The Chinese students joined with Sage Creek students for a celebration of the Chinese New Year during an assembly that included a chopstick competition and singing, dancing, and instrumental performances from our Chinese guests. Sage Creek immersion students sang two songs in Chinese for our guests and the whole student body sang the traditional Chinese New Year song. The Chinese students even joined with Sage Creek students to do the Sage Creek school dance and to participate in our three on three basketball tournament! Chinese students joined Sage Creek classes for the rest of the day. Friday evening at the Springville High School auditorium, Sage Creek students and our Chinese visitors performed again for families and the community. Sage Creek had a wonderful opportunity to see that we a have a lot in common.

Sage Creek 5th and 6th grades are having a 3 on 3 basketball tounament at Sage Creek. During lunch recess student's are playing to see who  has the best team of three. Students are score keeping and officiating. Way to go Dragons! Good Luck to all the teams!
