A fun picture from "a day in the life" of school and covid. Here is our new custodian, Mr. Grotegut, on one of many of his daily rounds keeping us disinfected and clean! We tease him that he's our own "ghostbusters!".
Mrs. Richard's 4th grade class is finding out how difficult it is to quill while learning about the United States Constitution. These kids are working on writing the Preamble while memorizing it!
Huge shout out to this group of Dragons for going above and beyond at school! You guys rock!
Sage Creek is at it again! It's time for Bookworm Bingo presented to you by our amazing librarian Mrs. Fullmer. This is how it works; when a student completes a book from the bingo categories and fills out the book report page they will turn it into Mrs. Fullmer. With one Bingo they get a Passport with their photo. With a blackout they will be recognized throughout the school and receive an award. Book reports and Bingo cards are with Mrs. Fullmer. Parents with any questions can contact Mrs. Fullmer via email (found on the faculty page). Get reading Dragons!
Sage Creek's kindergarten friends got to see what the big kids get to do at lunchtime on Monday when they stayed to eat lunch in the cafeteria!
Students in Mr. Wright's 5th grade class have caught the writing bug. They have been creating Squiggle Stories. The students have been turning a random squiggle into a picture and then writing a story about it. Some students have completed 6 stories already in the few weeks we've been in school. At the end of the year each student will take home their own book full of the short stories they have created.
Great job to this week's Dragons of the week! These kids showed their teachers how incredible they are, and that they know how to work and work hard!
Please note that Mon, Sept 21, is a district minimal day - this means school is dismissed at noon. This is one of two days (the second day will be Mar 16) where school is dismissed early and teachers are in trainings in the afternoon. On Sept 21, AM Kinder will be held and students will be dismissed at 12:00 as well because the mid-day bus is busy taking home secondary students who are dismissed earlier. No PM Kinder held this day.
