What Matters?

Have you ever wondered what it looks like when your principal’s stomach blows up? The fifth Grade students at Sage Creek Elementary got to see first hand what that can look like! Mr. Donahue, from the Children’s Museum of Utah, presented Reaction Time to an attentive audience of fifth graders. Students learned all about the three common phases of matter and the difference between physical and chemical changes. Mr. Donahue demonstrated several examples of physical and chemical changes using anything from fire to baking soda. Each class also got to participate in hands-on experiments to discover how those changes can take place. Thank you Children’s Museum of Utah!
