Power Point Project
Space Exploration
Your assignment is to create a PowerPoint presentation on some aspect of space exploration. The presentation must contain a title page and at least 10 slides. Click here for a list of suggested topics.
Step 1: Select a subject. Browse through the websites below. If you have a topic that is not on the suggested list, approve it with your teacher.
Step 2: Find Information. Using the links on the internet site, encyclopedias, and other reference materials, begin collecting information on your subject. Take notes in your own words; do not copy text word for word. See below for good websites to find information about space exploration.
Step 3: Create A Folder for Your Project
- Go to My Documents
- On the left, click the button that says "Make a New Folder"
- Name the new folder
- Open the new folder and create another folder inside it named "pictures"
Step 4: Collect multimedia. As you are doing your research, begin collecting clipart and photos for your powerpoint. Save them into your new picture folder. If you want to use a picture from a book, scan it and save it to your folder.
Step 5: Write a storyboard. After you have gathered enough information, create a storyboard planning out the details of your slide presentation. Click here to download a blank storyboard form. You may need more than one.
Step 6: Create slides. Create your powerpoint slides, including text and graphics. Carefully edit your grammar and spelling.
Step 7: Add finishing touches. Add animations, transitions, and sound clips.
