Donations made by the Sage Creek PTA made it possible for the students and visitors to the school to experience and enjoy the Liberty's Story wall display. This professional display beautifully tells the story of how America gained her independence through historical documents, pictures, articles, and narratives in a numbered sequence. Teachers also have grade level materials that tie this story into each grade level's social studies core curriculum.

Mr. Donahue, from the Children’s Museum of Utah, presented Reaction Time to an attentive audience of fifth graders. Students learned all about the three common phases of matter and the difference between physical and chemical changes. Mr. Donahue demonstrated several examples of physical and chemical changes using anything from fire to baking soda.

Sage Creek Elementary students were treated to an incredible vocal learning experience with members of the Utah Opera during an assembly on Monday. Students learned that an Opera is a story done entirely by singing and that it involves a soprano, a mezzo soprano, a tenor and a baritone. Members of the Opera demonstrated each vocal type as well as the difference between an aria, a duet, a trio, and a tutti. Students also had time to ask some interesting questions and were captivated by the very animated and fun personalities of these talented performers.
