Nebo Schools Open on Regular Schedule Thursday, February 23, 2023
All Nebo schools will be open on the regular schedule for Thursday, February 23, 2023. We truly appreciate the city, county, state, and district personnel for their diligent work in our recent storm across our district. Please remember that school closures are rare. In most cases, school will remain in session even with Utah's climate. Because weather conditions may vary greatly in different neighborhoods and on different streets, we encourage parents to make attendance decisions for their own students.
Unfortunately, experience has taught us that there is no single decision that will accommodate the desires of every patron and employee. That being the case, Nebo District is supportive of individual decisions regarding safe travel during inclement weather. Please evaluate your individual situation regarding travel to school. The option to keep children home when weather conditions are severe is always at the parents’ discretion and schools have been asked to respect and honor parent decisions. Make-up schoolwork may be necessary, but schools will accommodate students on the timely completion of required assignments or tests.

"Central Utah Stem Fair (CUSF) is a state regional STEM competition affiliated with the Society for Science & The Public’s International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF). The fair is open to 5-12 grade students. All students must attend two pre-qualifying fairs in order to advance on to compete at CUSF. These fairs would include a school fair and a district fair. There are over 100,000 eligible students within the CUSF fair territory and approximately 900 of these students advance on to compete at CUSF as a Finalist each year." --https://cusef.byu.edu/about-us/

Mrs. Bean is Nebo School District's Drama Curriculum Specialist. She visited Mrs. Mousser's Kindergarten with her puppet, Mavis! Mavis helped the children learn about personal space (an important skill in kindergarten). We read the book, "Don't Hug Doug" and learned the importance of asking before we hug someone. Thank you for visiting our classroom, Mrs. Bean!
