Great job to this weeks group of Hansen's Heroes! They have shined this week, and really stood out to their teachers!
In first grade, students wrote an essay on the topic of "If I were the principal." Lily Prewitt seemed to capture the day well as she writes, "If I were Mis Hansen one day I wood do the reports. And let teachers know that they are speshll. I wood let them sleep in." Great advice, Lily! You're hired!
We are proud to announce that our school has earned the Energy Star Rating again this year. ENERGY STAR certified buildings and plants use, on average, 35 percent less energy than similar buildings nationwide. The cost savings can be substantial. For more than 20 years, the US Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR program has identified the most energy-efficient products, buildings, plants, and new homes – all based on the latest government-backed standards. Congratulations, Sage Creek!
Ms. Orton and Mrs. Mousser's classes created models of sedimentary rocks (using layers and fossils) and then transformed them into metamorphic rocks (using pressure and heat from our hands).
Here's to another great group of students this week! They have worked hard and impressed their teachers enough to be named this week's Hansen's Heroes!
Summer Drama Club - there was such an overwhelming turnout for our school play this winter, I know we have some budding actors/actresses among our student body! Please see the summer drama club flyer and note that registration begins Fri, Apr 20.
Teacher Appreciation Week - coming up Apr 23-27. We have fantastic teachers & staff here at Sage Creek and it's nice to take a week to spoil them a little. We appreciate our PTA for heading this up! Please see the attached flyer to which specifies some fun activities each day. Of course, these are just suggestions. Our teachers appreciate anything at all!
The entire 4th grade experienced the opportunity of learning about the many animals that live in Utah and their habitats, from two very special, young ladies from the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium. The students and their teachers even had the chance to hold some mighty cute, little critters!
Every week we have a group of students that show us what it truely means to be a superhero. This group is no exception! Great job Hansen's Heroes!
A special congratulations to the following dragons who were "Kaught" in Kindness.
*Miguel Piceno helped picked up spilled supplies even though they didn't belong to him.
* Mr. Stuart for refereeing during the 5th and 6th grade March Madness.
* Spencer for helping other students around the room who didn't understand.
