Our teachers selected two students from each class to be our Kind Kids of the Quarter for Term 3.  Our focus this term has been, "I am Needed". We kick off each term by learning about the attribute for the quarter during the Principal’s Read Aloud and then spend the whole term strengthening this specific attribute. Students who receive this award get a certificate, a swag bag with Sage Creek items, and a surprise yard sign at their house. New Kind Kids of the Quarter will be selected each term.

Congratulations to our Dragons of the Week (February 20-23)!

BYU Athletes and the BYU Dunk Team visited Sage Creek today!  We learned about being mentally, socially and physically strong.  We LOVED seeing the Dunk Team and Cosmo jump, flip and DUNK (Ms. Youd even joined in)!

Chinese Immersion Students (first through fifth grades) had the opportunity to write to students at Wengu Elementary in Cixi, China (close to Ms. Wang's hometown)!  The letters will be sent next week and students will be eagerly awaiting a response! 

Congratulations to our Dragons of the Week (February 12-16)!

Second graders celebrated the 102nd day of school by dressing up like dalmations, completing crafts, having 102 second races, and doing "Cruella de Vil" math.  Students also celebrated the Chinese New Year on Friday, February 9th.  Students still had fun as they learned about three digit subtraction and regrouping as they "performed surgery" on base ten blocks.
