All year 4th graders learn about Utah history and a huge part of that is the pioneers. However, they didn't just get to learn about pioneers they got to be them for the day. 4th graders dressed up as pioneers and pulled carts to Mapleton Park where they had pioneer activities and games.
Huge shout out to this group of Dragons! the second to last week of school and they are still showing what rockstars they can be!
3rd grade had a blast on their walking field trip to the Springville Art Museum. Students learned about the different pieces of art and got to make up stories for some of the pieces. What amazing imaginations the 3rd graders have. Thank you Springville Art Museum for the great time!
Our amazing kindergarteners drew self portraits and used chalk pastels to color them in. What fun it is to be in kindergarten!
These two incredible ladies deserve all the recognition they can get. Mrs. Sorensen and Mrs. Richards have worked many hard and long hours to teach their students what they need to be successful. Through their dedication and love for education Mrs. Sorensen has taught for 36 years and has touched the lives of over 700 students--one of them being Mrs. Platts in 1st grade. Mrs. Richards has taught for 32 years and has taught close to 1,000 students. If you looked up the definition of what a dedicated, loving, amazing teacher is these two teachers' pictures would be front and center. Thank you Mrs. Sorensen and Mrs. Richards for being role models to so many.
In Ms. Platt's first grade class they are talking about hobbies and talents. Well, fun fact is that Ms. Platts is an amazing artist and wanted to share her talents with her students. She brought her painting materials and had her class help paint two incredible paintings. Looking good first graders!
Kindergarten learns all about the life cycle of a butterfly. They had the incredible opportunity to watch this in action from being an egg to finally transforming into a beautiful butterfly.
Great job to this week's group of Dragons that have shined through the long days of testing and have been so amazing!
