The 5th grade Chinese classes learned about 9/11, and specifically about one hero--Welles Crowther. Crowther parished on 9/11, but not before he saved at least 10 people from the building.  Crowther wore his red bandana to protect himself from the smoke. Each child was given a red bandana to remember him and all the other heroes from that day.
