STEM Activity in 5th Grade

Submitted by shavon.mousser on

The fifth Grade (Mr. Runolfson's class photos are in a previous post) had an awesome time with their first engineering activity--The Marshmallow Challenge. They worked in groups to see who could design the tallest structure out of tape, string, and spaghetti noodles, that would support a marshmallow on top without toppling over.  They came up with some creative designs and the tallest structure was 26 inches!

Kindergarten Assessment Sign-Up

Submitted by michael.johnson on

Dear Parents,

We are so excited for kindergarten this year and can't wait to meet your child!

Please take a few minutes to sign up for a time for your student to take the KEEP Assessment. Each kindergarten student in the state of Utah is administered this one-on-one literacy and math assessment. The KEEP assessment usually takes between 15-25 minutes to administer. We ask that parents sit away from their child (or in the hall) while the assessment is given. This helps in maintaining the validity of the results.

PLEASE CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW TO SIGN-UP FOR THE KEEP ASSESSMENT (note teacher name):
