Ms. Reid's class explored the movement of animals with the help of Ms. Jones, our District Dance Specialist. Students also worked together to restructure the movement of animals. This was a fun way to learn science!
The Living Planet Aquarium visited the 4th grade on Friday. The presenters taught students about adaptations. Fourth grade students have been learning how different structures and functions on animals and plants allow them to survive in diverse environments. The students had a blast during this in-school field trip.
Congratulations to our Dragons of the Week (September 25-29)!
Kindergarten students have been studying the lifecycle of the Monarch butterfly. We watched the caterpillars grow, form their chrysalis and finally (after 10 days) were able to see a Monarch butterfly emerge during class! It was SO exciting! The students released the butterfly and plan to release many more in the coming days. A special thank you the Ms. Sayers at Hobble Creek Elementary for the caterpillars!
Ms. Jones (our District Dance Specialist) visited Ms. Morrow's 1st grade classroom and helped students learn their doubles facts through movement! The children loved learning with their bodies!
Congratulations to our Dragons of the Week (September 11-15)!
Ms. Wilson's 1st graders have been learning about shadows and light. They examined how shadows change over time, using their own shadows as a reference!
