It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas at Sage Creek Elementary!

Submitted by shavon.mousser on

We have certainly felt the holiday spirit here at Sage Creek!  Students have enjoyed attending concerts, visiting with Santa, participating in the school Sing Along, receiving letters from Elves at the North Pole and using writing, art and scissor skills to create Christmas crafts.  We wish you all a safe and happy holiday season!  School will resume on January 4th!

Ms. Frisby's Elf on the Shelf

Submitted by shavon.mousser on

Ms. Frisby's class has had an elf visiting each day, with a theme and activity, for the 12 school days of Christmas.  The students have recently enjoyed Stocking Day and Christmas Cookie day! On Christmas Cookie day, the Elf stole Mrs. Claus' top secret magical cookie recipe and then Ms. Frisby's students wrote their own recipes for magical cookies and shared them with each other. The students completed a word search and sampled really delicious sugar cookie Hershey's kisses!

Mrs. Mousser Honored at Nebo School Board Meeting

Submitted by michael.johnson on

Mrs. Mousser was honored by Nebo School District's School Board with a PEAK Award (Positive Energy and Kind Employees).   PEAK Awards are nominated by patrons and recognized by the Superintendent Staff and Nebo School Board of Education.

When you walk into Mrs. Mousser's kindergarten classroom, you will see the most amazing things happening. Students are engaged, happy, and excited to be in school. Mrs. Mousser is a huge part of the positive culture at Sage Creek Elementary and makes Sage Creek Elementary one of the best places to learn and work.

Mrs. Mousser finds ways to continue to bring learning and the community together. She recently created a fourth-grade science club that she runs on her own time after school to facilitate the love of science and discovery for our upper grade students. Mrs. Mousser makes a difference to our school, our community, and most importantly to her kindergarten students. We love Mrs. Mousser!

Tis the Season for Beautiful Art!

Submitted by shavon.mousser on

Art is Ms. Howard's Art Room is magical!  Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade had a lesson on color mixing in art, creating beautifully blended papers. Following a lesson on symmetry, they exercised their folding and scissor skills to turn them into snowflakes!

5th graders practiced their fine line drawing skills on their winter villages.  Using a white Prismacolor on black paper they created a variety of homes and shops and buildings.  The results were spectacular!
